Design Process
Although Laura L. Leatherwood loves countless art mediums and styles, she tends to gravitate toward mixed media abstract art. It allows her to have the greatest freedom of expression.
She generally begins with one of her own an abstract paintings and digitally combines it with your photograph. She uses a digital paint brush along with layer masks, blending modes, filter plug-ins, and so on to create the right balance of realism versus the abstract.
More traditional, painterly, images are also available by request. You can also have these images designed with a transparent background if your subject is contained within the frame of your photograph. These type of images lend themselves well to T-shirts, mugs, and tote bags.
